Winning More

For Long Term Care Workers

Because SEIU-ULTCW members joined COPE, we have seen important victories for working people throughout California. COPE builds unity, political power and a pro-worker, pro-union California.

130, 000 Los Angeles Home Care Workers win their second In Home Supportive Services contract and a wage increase to $9.00/hour.

15,000 San Bernardino Home Care Workers win their second In Home Supportive Services contract and a wage increase to $9.05/hour.

Over 2,000 Ventura County Homecare Workers win a contract in 2005, increasing their wages to $9.00 per hour, and up to $9.50 in 2007.

SEIU-ULTCW workers helped pass a landmark nursing
home reform (AB 1629) which will bring more
money into nursing homes.

With Your Help, COPE Can...

Protect our wages, working conditions and rights from budget cuts and anti-worker legislators.

Provide direct support to pro-worker candidates for local, regional and state offices.

Build community support for our Union, our co-workers, and our friends through public information campaigns on issues and candidates.

Develop and support proposals that improve the quality of life for us, other working people, and communities throughout California.
