What is the MPO Program and how are Members involved?

Member Political Organizers (MPO’s) are union members who have a   strong desire to enhance and empower their lives by volunteering their time to unite and mobilize other workers into political and organizing actions through a number of exciting activities at the local and state level.  MPO's are the driving force behind the tremendous political gains that we have seen as homecare workers.  MPO's are the foundation of SEIU's
|grassroots, member based, issues driven, political program.

Why do Members get involved?

MPO’s agree with the union's stand on an issue that is important to them.

MPO’s want to be directly involved in the politics that impact their life.

MPO’s believe in the strength of their membership and their union leadership.

MPO’s want to broaden their knowledge on the issues that affect their families and
the people that depend on them.

MPO’s want the opportunity to get on the road to personal growth/power.

MPO’s want belong to a powerful body that is productive, growing, and capable

of making significant social/political/economical changes.

MPO’s represent the dignity, respect and justice that working families deserve all across our nation.

MPO’s are about winning a brighter future.

MPO's take action at our worksite in our neighborhoods, on the phone in our call center, and thru e-mail to:
