Oakland Member Reporter Training
Thursday, November 13th marks the day that member reporters attended training in the beautiful city of Oakland. Among those in attendance were: Sherry Liddell, Brenda Blannon, Roland Alsup, Mao Ling Sieu, Yuan Mei Jiang, Ouyang Kelian and Francisco Daza.

Carolina who petitioned for black principals to work for the schools in black neighborhoods. Setina taught African Americans to read so that they could vote. She was involved with the NAACP and the YWCA. Later she became the Director of Education and Literacy for Martin Luther King's Southern Christian Leadership conference.
