New program seeks members to educate new caregivers

Get active, get paid in the Members Teaching Members in the Member Satisfaction Volunteer Program

San Bernardino County is looking for members to conduct Union presentations at weekly IHSS worker orientations. After a thorough training on the Union and its functions, through the Member Satisfaction Volunteer Program, you will pass on that knowledge to new caregivers.

We are looking for members to conduct presentations in Victorville, Yucca Valley, Barstow, and Needles.  You must meet the following criteria to be considered:

Must be a Full Member of the union (signed membership card)
Must be a COPE contributor
Must be able to committ to the weekly schedule
Must be comfortable speaking in front of groups of people
Must fill out an application, an MO agreement, interview with Union staff, and attend a two day training.
