Coalition Working On Political Issues

United Long Term Care Senior Association joined forces with the "California Alliance for Retired Americans", and "Coalition for Economic Survival" amoung others to speak out against proposition 98 this past Tuesday (May 20).

Proposition 98 is a deceptive measure placed on the ballot by wealthy apartment and mobile home park landlords.  All Californians will pay a steep price for this damanging measure which is a direct assault on seniors, renters, our environment and our communities".

Laurine Mackey, Executive Board Member and Senior Association Board member represented United Long Term Care Workers at the rally and spoke out on behalf of working families on how, if passed, this proposition will be destructive to  so many lives.

The event was covered by press from the Los Angeles Times, KTLA, NBC and the Korean Press.

Other organizations represented included the League of California Homeowners, the League of Women Voters of California , the California Fire Chiefs Association, the National Coalition of Hispanic Organizations, California League of Conservation Voters and Livable Places.
