The United Long-Term Care Workers' Union is engaged in an extensive organizing campaign to give nursing home workers
across Southern California the chance at a better future with SEIU. Building union
density in the nursing home industry is also a key factor to negotiating better wages and benefits at the bargaining table.

As an LVN, I have received between $6 and $7 in raises over the last four and one-half years. Because I have a contract, I know how much I'm going to get and when. Also, it feels good that employees have a say in what goes on. Everybody has a level playing field because we are union here.
SEIU is the largest and most effective nursing home workers' union in California. Together, SEIU members are setting new standards in the industry by improving patient care by negotiating contracts that create successful working environments with safe staffing, fair pay and benefits, job security and a voice for workers on the job.
