Freeman’s activities transcend SEIU because he knows that one union cannot fit the needs of all workers. At a recent convention of several unions, he complimented them on their outstanding performances and urged them forward.
“Our challenge today is about the opportunity to change the lives of the workers and long-term care through pressing strategy that we believe have made a significant difference,” he said.
Larry Brown, president of Angel City Branch 24 of the National Association of Letter Carriers, said of his union colleague, “He’s a young dynamic labor leader; he has put his money where his mouth is for the good of the labor movement and America as a whole. He has done wonders with that home care workers union; he took them from being local to being known nation wide.”
